Seed Wheat Imports Aid Montana Seed Shortage
Rocky Mountain Elevator and Montana mills import 112000 bushels of No 1 Northern seed wheat from Canada to relieve spring seeding shortages. About 120000 acres will be seeded, with farmers paying roughly 2.75 per bushel at the railroad. Government permits and local distribution by banks and elevator companies facilitated the effort, aided by local officials and Congressmen.
