Auto Beats Wolf in Death Pursuit
In De Smet S D on April 9 a large wolf that had troubled Hand county farmers was hunted down and killed by Charles Cummins, Joseph Brown, and Joseph Henkel. An automobile and pack of dogs chased the animal at about 30 miles per hour, the car closing in and the leash of hounds being released for the kill. The wolf had slain about 70 hogs and measured five and a half feet from tip to tip.
