Elmwood Mothers Club Meeting Recalls Talks and Gifts
Elmwood Mothers Club gathered Friday with music from Elmwood orchestra and a grade chorus, featuring talks on literature led by Mrs George McWethy and Miss Stout. The Manvall Lay Mercantile Co received thanks for donating fifty cups and spoons. earlier, Foresters surprised Mrs James Murchie with a birthday party, and guests shared stories and crafts while socializing. Also noted are reports on future city librarian work, Singer building wind bracing plans, East Jordan industrial edition, and several local incidents including a poisoning scare, Bert McCoy’s shoulder injury, a heavy load delivered by a cart, and a birthday gathering at Miss Flora Heck’s home.
