Train wreck injures fireman amid Osceola mine incident
Multiple incidents reported on March 19 across Michigan. In Osceola, Pere Marquette freight train No 32 derailed, piling cars about 30 feet high. Herman Dehart the fireman was badly hurt as flames were smothered before an oil tank car could be reached. Separately in Calumet, a mine accident killed one and seriously injured two when a cable broke dropping a car onto three men hundreds of feet below.
