Funeral of Ernest Strohm Postponed to Friday

Ernest Strohm funeral scheduled for Tuesday at 9 am has been moved to Friday at 9 am so a sister from Washington can attend. The body will go to Leland, where his mother and a sister are buried and where his home was formerly kept.

Ready for Eagles in City as Delegates Arrive

The city awaits thousands of visitors for the state Eagles meeting. Decorations are underway and the streets will be in gala attire by tomorrow noon. The first session is set for tomorrow morning with state officers present and proceedings to begin. Delegations arrive tonight as three days of red white and blue prepare the scene. Electric fire damages Garfield township home

A broken electric light caused a blaze in the den of G. Franke in Garfield township at 8:20 PM. Walter Krapp spotted and extinguished it before over $25 in damage. A couch bedding and curtains burned. losses were insured. Also reported is the death of the 15 months old child of Mr and Mrs Roy Pease of Leland Friday afternoon. Funeral held at the grandparents home Sunday at 3 with Rev Cochlin officiating.

Edwards couple begin two weeks auto trip to Montreal and Lake Champlain

Mr and Mrs L Edwards started a two week motor tour with Mr and Mrs W L Hammond of Ludington. They will travel in Mr Hammond's car to Montreal and Lake Champlain. Prof M W Jernegan, who had been visiting the Camerons, returned to Chicago. The Girls Scout club includes Alethea Cochlin, Dorothy Cochlin, Marta Gilbert, Margaret Franklin.
