Housewarming on the roof after Hannah Park fireworks

A cotteine of baseball boys and many lady fans held a roof party at the information bureau after Hannah Park fireworks. A social hour followed with refreshments. Ice cream was hoisted to the roof by tying the pail to a flag rope. Secretary Holler found the new flag flapping in the morning. The group praised the day and hoped to repeat it.

Four Die As Train Strikes Prisoners Escort in Bluefields

A Norfolk and Western train in Bluefields West Virginia killed four people and injured one as Constable John Ashworth and officers were transporting prisoners Martha Noel James Payne and Edward Jones to jail. The injured man is Charles Oades. No witnesses.
