The Rebekahs held their installation of officers on a Wednesday evening in July with Mrs. Flora Hart of Detroit present to install several officers. The D. O. O. F. followed with installations on Saturday evening July 6th by the D.B., H.S. Monroe. Afterward ice cream and cake were served. At Dueck Lake on July 4, many enjoyed dancing roller skating boating and races. Services included prayer, songs, and a cemetery procession with lodge members. Mrs Catherine Reynolds dies after long devotion in Inland Township
Catherine Allen Reynolds, born September 16, 1822 in North Kingston Rhode Island, widow of Richard Reynolds, died yesterday afternoon in Sud. She joined the Quid nesseth Waytist church and later the Ma church, working devotedly for years. Survived by son Richard H and infant Gilbert. husband died January 1896. Funeral at 2 PM Thursday from the house.
