ANOTHER PIONEER GONE IN PROVEMONT
John Richard aged 65 died suddenly of heart failure in Provemont after a period of ill health. A Canadian immigrant who settled about eight miles from Provemont over 40 years ago he leaves his wife five daughters and seven sons. He was a respected farmer. Funeral services are set for Thursday at St Marys church with burial in St Marys cemetery.

Game Warden CG Alien Smith announces under Act 298. 2. A. fd new mesh standards for Great Lakes waters. From January 1 1912 pound nets require four inch mesh extension and gill nets four and a half inch extension for white fish and trout. Pound nets for rough fish must be at least 2 3/4 inches. White fish dressed weight rises to one pound ten ounces. Industry participants are urged to study the law to reduce violations and improve compliance.
