Four Frankfort fishermen lost their lives during a gale at Frankfort. The victims were identified as local mariners estranged from one another, with crews from nearby harbors reported missing since the storm. Rescue efforts continued through the night with weather hampering search operations.

Washington senators back Hutchinson bill to train seventh and eighth graders in military drills under U S army officers. Half day weekly program would use instructors from Fort George Wright and Fort Vancouver to produce a ready citizen-soldiery for emergencies. Several lawmakers in the state support the measure and expect its passage in January.
Deputy Game Warden Smith reports prohibitions on using ferrets in Abst County. Some people illegally employ substitutes, inviting legal action. Violators face lawsuits with the state deputy as complainant.

Rudolph Libutski an employee of the G R I railroad weds Miss Amy Roseziena Haslam daughter of Mars Andrus of Empire in a ceremony yesterday afternoon at the bride’s mother's home. The couple will reside on Third street and are popular locals with many well wishers.
Through William Hoolihan the Northern Michigan Poultry Association may use the upper floor of the building at 155 State Street for a January meeting. The group wrote Santa Claus requesting a building as a Christmas present and received a reply.
Mrs Norman Morgan of Omena vice president of the Great Lakes Mission visits Sault Ste. Marie for the annual meeting. Accompanied by Mrs George Aligosa an Ottawa woman she will read a paper on the work at Omena. Mrs Moreau long a key Indian worker at Qomena leads a prosperous missionary circle among Peninsula Indians.
In Moscow on December 26 revolutionists entrenched in a villa in the suburbs fought police reinforced by troops. Baron Catte, chief of secret police, was killed and Colonel Muraki wounded. Several policemen are dead and many wounded on both sides.

A five story apartment house on West 127th Street burned early today killing electrician Daniel Frigze and injuring three others. Two residents were trapped as flames gutted the building, with investigators noting a blaze in the utilities area.
