Community notes from Maple City area update

Mrs Chas Bloom is quite ill and many residents such as Dro Fralick and daughter Miss Orphin visited Traverse City last week. Revival services at Long Lake were aided by Orville Chance and Miss Flora Bellinger returned to Ludington after a visit. Numerous local visits and church events fill the week with services at the Friends church and a Sunday schedule. Swastika club of Mabel hosted an oyster supper with out of town guests Mr and Mrs Geo Tray and son Harry of Traverse City, a menu of oysters, fried chicken and desserts, and music by Mrs Pray. Congregational church held an annual noon dinner with thirty-two attendees. Others sent updates on horticultural meetings, visits, and a charity bazaar raising funds.

Lake Junction Family Visits Chronicle

Robert Payne visited his nephew Harry Osborn last week. Mrs. Floyd Huff spent a day with Mrs. Robert Gary. Roy Crocker moved logs to Atkinson's saw mill. Mr. and Mrs. Julia Osborn visited Floyd Osborn and family on Sunday. Harry Osborn was in Traverse City last Thursday. December 11.

Carl Davenport of Kentucky planned a return home after visiting Benjamin Mallory. Adeline Mallory stayed with Chas Sachtleben. Lily Gearing sprained an ankle but improving. Wes Baker guests of James Smiley. John Acres and brother Fred visited C E Mallory. Marie and Mary Smiley called at C E Mallory’s. Anna Gearing left for Dagwall to spend winter. Leon Hammontree was in town. Mrs Chas Wolfe and daughter Dorothy spent time with Mrs Whalen.

Ladies' Aid Meets and Neighborly News in North Paradise

North Paradise community notes report The Ladies' Aid meeting hosted by Mrs BE Kean last Thursday with Mrs A Sayers presiding. Thomas Clark lost a horse last Friday injured in the woods. Several visits among neighbors occur including A Sayers with Leonard Cunningham and Winnie Pierce families. John Perhali family dined with A Sayers. engine moved to Voice's place for wood cutting.
