Death of John C Drew in Traverse City

Obituary notes the death of John C Drew at Traverse City on December 1 1910 after long heart trouble. Born August 18 1838 in Steuben County New York he lived in Michigan many years as blacksmith and merchant. Old Resident Gone Former Grand Traverse County Treasurer Dies

Erastus H. Foster 67, a prominent Alden resident and former hardware businessman at Fife Lake, died after a three week illness. A Democrat, he served as Grand Traverse County treasurer and later ran a general store before retiring. He leaves a wife and one son. Funeral from the home tomorrow afternoon, burial at Fife Lake.

Sleigh Team Spooks Mrs Lamkin on Wadsworth Street

Late Tuesday afternoon Mrs. Will Lamkin of Keystone was riding with grain when her team bolted and ran toward Front Street. They veered near the candy factory, tossing her onto the sidewalk. Patrolman Carson and Newt Skiver halted the horses to prevent further damage.

Buffalo December 7 Associated Press notes steady cattle, active hogs with heavy and yorker prices around 7.80 to 7.85 per cwt. Pigs at 8.50 to 9.75, sheep and lambs strong with lambs 6.60 to 6.75, yearlings 5.50 to 5.25, wethers 4.00 to 4.25, ewes 3.75 to 4.00, calves strong from 6.00 to 9.75 depending on grade.
