In a Cordova Courts basement apartment on West One Hundred Twenty-eighth Street Mrs. Sarah Glock aged 26 shot her husband Ernest Glock through the heart and killed herself with poison after a night of heavy drinking and quarrels that upset neighbors who had complained. They were to be dispossessed on August 1.
After a meeting in the city, officials of the Grand Traverse Region Fair association invited Governor Warner Lieutenant Governor Kelley and United States Senator William Alden Smith to attend Republican day at the fall fair. Warner and Kelley expressed a wish to attend pending campaign dates and Smith was to be asked if not already arranged.

They express belief their states will deliver electoral votes and help secure his election as Roosevelt’s popularity wanes and Taft drives a party realignment effort.
Henry Stone of York Pennsylvania files suit against Trinity Church rectors wardens and vestrymen and attorney William Joy for ejectment and an accounting spanning two centuries. The action targets more than 600 million dollars in real estate held by the Trinity corporation.
Charles Bennett retires and will open a restaurant in the Theatorum Building. Julius Steinberg retires from a Benton Harbor trip after closing a deal with Fred Felton, leasing Steinberg's Grand Opera house. Leon Steinberg takes active charge and management. Bennett plans a new restaurant. Julius will make improvements. Season bookings include Coming Thro' the Rye a 40 performer musical for late August. Leon Steinberg to devote full time to theater management.
Detroit July 20 angry and excited creditors of Cameron Currie and Co filled the offices this morning with loud talk. A young Decatur Michigan business man cried he had been robbed of 5000 dollars that the firm held in trust. Creditors organize for some action for protection.
