Contracts Signed for Extension of Paving in Graham
The Graham square paving contract progresses with brick laying set to continue next week. The extension includes paving around all four sides and an extra twenty five feet to the courtyard park, plus a gravel strip for parking between sections. District Courts Close Week with Convictions
In Graham the 92nd court and 30th district court wrap a busy criminal session. Sam Washburn received three years for illicit liquor manufacture east of Graham, Elmo Washburn a three and a half year suspended sentence, J. B. Whalen two counts of embezzlement yield two years each, Joe Cloud acquitted on liquor manufacture. Six convictions and one acquittal reflect seven cases tried through Wednesday, with several continuances and many old cases dismissed.

Mayor Stinson’s Son Wounded in Louisiana Hospital
Mayor W. P. Stinson received a letter from his son Reno stating he has been in a Louisiana hospital since August 7 with a compound fracture of a lower limb. He will be on crutches about two months more, according to his doctor. Reno’s many Graham friends will regret the accident.
