Ship Remains to California in Grief for J R Jameson
The body of J R Jameson, found on the Fort Worth and Denver tracks near Wichita Falls, was shipped to Denver for cremation and ashes sent to Bakersfield California. His wife Mrs Jameson, delayed leaving Graham until Tuesday due to illness, could not see him in Wichita Falls. Col S R Crawford and others accompanied her as far as Newcastle. Friends describe Jameson as cultured, energetic, and trusted, a promoter in Graham through the Commercial Club, who helped sink a well on the Jackson place. The paper notes his kindness and esteem among locals and offers sympathy to his widow.
