Evangelist Rev. Russell ae Birdwell conducts growing meetings in Graham attracting large crowds despite adverse conditions. Crowds packed the courtroom on Monday and Tuesday as stores closed for the service hour, with more growth expected through Sunday night. Birdwell’s engaging style and humor, including the famous Dont worry and Shot gun sermons, drew broad community interest. The revival continues, with anticipated countywide turnout for Sunday service.

Cyclone Davis the renowned prohibition orator and P F Paige secretary of the executive committee of the State Prohibition party will address the public next Tuesday the 17th at 7 30 P M in the tent courtyard or district courtroom on prohibition all residents urged to attend regardless of political ties.
Deputy Sheriff T E Wallage brought Rev J W Edward from Throck Morton County on a warrant for alienation. Edward appeared in court, was released, and case set for Wednesday Oct 18 with many witnesses summoned as church funds alleged misused while he was pastor at Bitter Creek Baptist Church.
A Good Well Attorney J C Kaye tested his Southeast Graham well by running a gasoline engine pump for over half a day. The yard flooded like a lake, but the well water remained unchanged. The author notes abundant water nearby suggests local homes could be built beautifully.
A men only gathering is set for Sunday morning at 10 30 at the Court House. Rev Russell J Birdwell is the organizer and invites every man to attend.
The State v H M Jones jurors were allowed to go home today and must return to resume deliberations tomorrow. A train near Vineyard broke down last night delaying service about five hours, arriving Graham after 3 this morning. Clay Parker, visiting relatives in the county, left for Weatherford Oklahoma. Chas Widmayer traveled to Galveston last week to meet his mother Mrs Babbetta Widmayer from Stuttgart Germany, who sailed from the old country. The reunion occurred in Galveston and Mrs Widmayer plans to live here with her son for the remainder of her life.
The sixteenth anniversary of Miss Lillian Wood was celebrated at her home near Olney on Saturday night October 7. Young attendees enjoyed the party with fine birthday cake, candy breaking, and music by the Dunagan Brothers. Miss Wood received several thoughtful gifts and the event left lasting memories for those present.
