The Lisle well south of Graham produced about 6,000,000 cubic feet of gas daily at 2200 feet. The gas roar is audible within a half mile, signaling cheap fuel and potential factory growth for Graham. The Goode Well at South Bend yielded 15 to 25 barrels of oil daily. deeper drilling to 3200 feet is planned. Local interest and investment rise as prosperity hums.

He arrived from Oklahoma recently and leaves many friends here who regret his departure.

Blaze Destroys Hill Home. Family Pleads for Help
At about 4 30 Monday morning the fire department fought a blaze in the west part of town at the old Hill home occupied by the Simpson family. The fire started from a defective flue and nearly all property was destroyed. Walter Green owned the building. insurance is not known. Citizens contributed over $200 in money and goods to the displaced family.

Death of Mrs J R McCluskey in Bartlett
Mrs J R McCluskey of South Bend died at Bartlett while visiting her brother Rev C W Irvin. The body was shipped to South Bend for interment beside her mother and an earlier child. She was daughter of Andrew Irvin, raised in Graham and South Bend, married to J B McCluskey of South Bend. The Leader offers condolences.

Birthday Party for Mattie Queen Price
On Tuesday afternoon November 6 at four o'clock Mrs Nat Price hosted the eighth birthday for her daughter Mattie Queen. Forty guests visited the home and then went to the bluffs for games and refreshments. Wallace and Bud Price acted as chauffeurs as the children departed with gifts of love.
