Curtis Dickenson Heads to National Athletic Meet
Curtis Dickenson left for Chicago to enter a national athletic contest by invitation after winning the Interscholastic League title in Austin. He earned the invitation by winning the state championship and will travel with Superintendent Dinsmore and Electra High School’s winner. Dickenson, son of Mr and Mrs D D Dickenson of East Graham, is a Graham High School graduate set to enter college in September.

Decoration Exercises by Daughters and Veterans Planned
The Daughters of the Confederacy will meet the Confederate Veterans at the Courtyard Park monument Sunday at 4 PM and march to the cemetery to decorate graves. Public invited for the exercises on Sunday, May 27. Bring flowers.

L L Wood opens a chicken ranch on Norris place north of town focusing on White Leghorns with a few White Wyandottes. Mr and Mrs Tuttle run the farm. about 4000 young chickens hatched since start. Incubators operate at 600 and 1100 capacity. visitors welcome around 5 PM to see the “sea of chickens.”

Revival Services Close Sunday Night at Presbyterian Church
The two week revival at the Presbyterian church ended last Sunday night with strong attendances and several turned away. Dr. A F Cunningham of Austin Texas preached with a Scotch accent and direct sermons. On the final night his sermon From Earth to Heaven was dedicated to his late mother. Five converts joined the church.

Judge P. M. Stine Dies At Henrietta
Judge P. M. Stine 68 a prominent lawyer in the 30th district for years died at his Henrietta home after weeks of illness. He once served as District Judge and led the Stine and Stine firm with an office in Graham. He left Graham a year ago for health reasons. Surviving are his widow three sons and two daughters. The body was buried in Henrietta.
