On Saturday night May 3 the East Ward school Music Department presented the musical fairy play Midsummer Eve directed by Grace Morley. Vera Pearl Moreland starred as Queen Mab with elves fairies and will o the wisps in bright costumes and dazzling lights. Proceeds benefit the school Music Department.

Klingman to Begin Pastorate in Graham May 18

Frank Luce Sentenced Ten Years For Pandering Case
Judge Walter F. Schenck presided as the State of Texas charged Frank Luce with pandering. A jury found him guilty and he received a ten year penitentiary term. Reports say he may face additional charges in Oklahoma for luring two Miller Bend girls aged fourteen and sixteen. Bill Grimes received a two year suspended sentence for theft and provided information to officers.
