Mrs Mary E Miller mother of Tom Miller died at his residence at 12 30 Friday March 31 after pneumonia illness started early March. Born in Mississippi in 1845 she joined the Baptist Church in early life married 1870 and had five children all living. Widow since 1889. She passed to her home of rest leaving a memory of a kind Christian mother. The Leader extends sympathy to the bereaved children.
James W. Still died at his home in Spring Creek last Thursday March 25 and was buried in the cemetery at True the following day. Eld J H Fisher conducted the funeral services before a large crowd. Still, 59, leaves a wife and eleven children and was noted as a Primitive Baptist member and devoted family man.
Bud Harris and Miss Annie Walker were married at 4 o clock yesterday evening at the home of Rev. Noble in West Graham. The ceremony was performed by the minister, and friends extend wishes for happiness and prosperity.

To State-Wide Prohibitionists. The Prohibition Committee seeks a thorough county and precinct organization for the July 22 1911 statewide prohibition election. A Graham county convention will meet at the courthouse on Monday April 10 at 2 p.m. to elect a county chairman and executive committee and to organize precincts, with all interested citizens urged to attend.
A Crutchfield man was found with a dangerous head wound at Newcastle mining camps early this morning. His brother was arrested and released on bond. A gambling party had been drinking. several fines were paid and more arrests may follow. The wounded man remains alive with slim recovery chances.
The report that Rock Island would restore the motor car from Bridgeport to Graham tomorrow is unfounded. The noon train benefited Graham by delivering mail early and linking to the outside world, but double train service is not expected soon and may be several months away.
