Section 143 144 and 145 of Public School Laws 1915 provide election on qualification of trustees in common school districts. The notice outlines the rules for nominating candidates and the voting process in the district.
Local trustees order elections and post notices in three public places at least twenty days prior. Elections for district and county trustees are held on the first Saturday in April. polls open 8 a m and close 6 p m. Returns go to trustees or county clerk. commissions and oaths issued by local board or county clerk.
At the close of registration last evening, the 2,600 mark had been reached in the university enrollment at Texas Varsity in Austin on March 23.
