H C Fields a pioneer county resident died at his East Graham home Monday morning after two years of poor health and throat trouble. He served as county treasurer and aided audits. Survived by two sons and four daughters, wife predeceased, sister in Alabama. Funeral held at his residence with Dr C R Taylor, burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

W A Cook Injured in Auto Truck Incident
W A Cook was seriously hurt Friday afternoon near Graham after trying to board a moving truck. He slipped and fell under the vehicle, the rear wheel and trailer causing multiple injuries. He remains at his brother C J Cook’s East Graham home and will be examined by X ray to assess the extent of injuries.

Fire Devastates South Bend in Blizzard Wake
A fire blamed on a gas coffee urn at Shamrock Cafe swept through the west side of Main Street in South Bend early Wednesday, damaging 115000 dollars in shops including three hotels two drug stores a garage dry goods stores and the South Bend bank. The blaze, halted by a railroad dump and heavy snow, burned a block and a half before being contained.
