Obituary of Dr. W. M. Teomeji and family notices
After a lingering illness of several weeks, Dr. W. M. Teomeji died at his home on South Oak Street last Saturday morning. He was 63, left a large family, and his funeral was conducted by Rev. Ashley Chappel with Masonic and Knights Templar rites at Oak Grove cemetery. Also listed are local business closing notices dated July 4, 1917 from W. S. Tidwell & Sons and many other firms.

A reader reports light Sunday rain but insufficient for crops. Stock water is scarce and grass short. Wheat threshing yields from four to sixteen bushels, with some grain selling locally at 2.17 dollars. Farmers store grain at home as community health remains good and preaching occurs at Bitter Creek Sundays at 3:30 PM.

Resident Dies After Creek Accident in Fort Worth
J. T. Hudson of Elm Creek country fell from a creek bank into the stream at his home and suffered a fractured spine. He was brought to Fort Worth for an operation but died before treatment could help. The body arrived Tuesday night and funeral services were held at his late home.

Election Notice for Local Tax Referendum in Young County
