Seymour Barbecue Draws 5 000 to 10 000 Visitors
A large excursion train arrived around 1 pm for Seymour's barbecue last Wednesday. Picnic planned with speakers and county candidates

Census Bureau to release Young County population July 1
County chairman J W Akin reports an Attorney General opinion that the Census Bureau will furnish Young county population on July 1 upon request. The AG further states that county and district clerk offices and the sheriff and tax collector offices must be divided when a county exceeds ten thousand in population. The county is certain to meet that threshold.
