Missionary Society Meeting at First Baptist Church
The Ladies Missionary Society met with Mrs. R. F. Short on June 4. Twenty-two ladies answered roll call with a Scripture verse. Mrs. McLephon led Bible study and the program included songs prayers and a scripture lesson from John 8. An offering of 40.55 was collected. Angel food cake and ice cream were served.

The Sunshine Philatheas met at Mrs. P. E. Phillips home on Tuesday afternoon with about a dozen members present. Miss Alzada Teggart and Miss Myrtle Moore were named to the look out committee. The group planned to sew for orphans this summer and enjoyed a social hour with music. Mrs. Philips and her sister Mrs. Travis of Mississippi served lemonade and water.
