Irrigated onion trials touted in Clear Fork Valley
W H Staton visits the Clear Fork valley and reports large Bermuda and Pearl onions on irrigated farms near Dooley and McCharen Donnell. He predicts the valley may supply regional markets, reducing onion imports as more irrigation experiments show strong yields. Also notes Confederate veterans and Daughters of the Confederacy meet in Graham with talks on Jefferson Davis and award crosses of honor. Public notices include an execution sale of land in Young County on July 4 1911.
