The Methodists beat the Presbyterians 15 to 11 to tie for first place as both Methodists and Baptists stand atop the league. Several regulars were absent, substitutions used, and errors helped decide the close game. Moreland pitched for the Presbyterians in his first league start this season. If weather allows, a late game between Methodists and Baptists should be hard fought as both teams hold five wins in six games.
