Monte Bowron Injured Working on Demoralized Wires
Monte Bowron, lineman for the Scurry County Telephone Company, was seriously hurt about 2:30 pm while adjusting wires atop a 30 foot pole after a fire earlier in the day. He fell headfirst about 25 feet. left arm and nose broken, facial cuts, possible internal injuries. An hypodermic revived his heartbeat shortly after the fall. he is improving and out of danger.

Preacher to Lead Methodist Services at Cooperative Meeting
At the Methodist Church Rev. M S Hotchkiss will preach at both services. The Board of Stewards voted unanimously to enter the Cooperative meeting and support its success. The pastor regrets a prior engagement prevents the initial service. After Sunday all services will yield to the meeting and call for hearty support and attendance from all in the congregation.
