Revival Services Begin at Baptist Church July 4
Beginning at eleven oclock Sunday morning the revival meeting at the Baptist Church will run for two weeks with daily sessions at ten in the morning and eight in the evening. Dr H E Dana will preach, praised as a strong gospel expositor with simple delivery. Music by Mr Cooper and sister Miss Cooper will accompany the services with an orchestra led by Howard Farmer. An afternoon prayer group program will operate in homes, inviting members of other congregations to join Graham revival efforts.

Fugitive Milt Good Captured Near Antlers Oklahoma
Milt Good, a Texas fugitive and escaped convict tied to the slayings of two cattle inspectors, was captured near Antlers Oklahoma after a weeklong pursuit. Officers shadowed him to a relatives home, and he identified himself while authorities at Huntsville were consulted. He refused to reveal his recent whereabouts or the location of Tom Ross, another inmate involved in the killings. Good, armed with a large gun, was arrested in open ranch country thirty five miles south of Antlers during a wolf-hunting patrol.

Slashing Incidents Reported in Graham Neck of City
Last Saturday in Graham a violent incident occurred in the north part of the city as Willie Thomas slashed Mary Herod with a butcher knife. Three wounds were inflicted across the arm stomach and upper thigh with intestines protruding before she fled into the street seeking aid. Her condition was described as serious but improving with medical attention and no complications yet expected.

Mrs. Margaret E. Slater Dies at 81 in Red Top Area
Mrs. Margaret E. Slater widow of B. F. Slater died at her son B. W. Slater’s home after a months long illness. Born December 23 1845 in Prairie County Arkansas she moved with her family to Erath then Young County Texas. Survived by six children including W. F. Slater FE T and G W Slater and Mrs. H P Cole with eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral Sunday at Oakrove Cemetery conducted by Rev T Edgar Neal. She joined the Methodist Church in childhood and remained active until her death.

Henry Rogers Dies After Illness at Graham Hospital
Henry Rogers died after a long pellagra illness at Graham Hospital Tuesday. He was forty six, lived near Jeana, and was buried at Orth Wednesday. His wife died about two years earlier, and his children were placed in an Abilene orphans home.
