Theresa Nance died at the family residence on January 8 after illnesses since December. Burial followed January 9 at Oak Grove cemetery. The family receives sympathy from many friends. An obituary omission due to a printing error affected last week's Leader.
William Berry Gachter son of Mr and Mrs John Gachter died at home last Tuesday and was laid to rest yesterday morning in Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev Henry Francis conducting the funeral.
Mrs. M. E. Akin died at 10 oclock yesterday morning at her son Judge Jo W Akin s residence in Graham. Her burial was at Oak Grove cemetery after a lengthy illness. She was a Methodist and longtime resident beloved by many friends in Graham and beyond.
The Graham Commercial Club and Farmers Union plan a $150000 Cotton Mill in Graham. A committee will audit mills in Itasca Waxahachie and Bonham, with a February 4 meeting to decide, while locals pledge stock and broad farming support.
Dr. George Bancroft and wife D. Lillian Lewis are invited back to Gra ham for two evenings of entertainment on Friday and Saturday December 28 and 29. Tickets are on sale at Vaughan's Jewelry store and a packed house is hoped for by citizens eager to hear the famed duo.
Graham expands its high school with a conservatory of music led by Prof. Taliaferro, a Dallas import, in a tower room. His Graham studio houses five pianos and he teaches Monday through Thursday, while Fridays and Saturdays he operates a Bryson studio. Tuition runs 5.00 dollars per month for Instrumental and Voice.
