Mrs. H. E. Eddleman Dead In Graham Community

Mrs. H. E. Eddleman, a respected Graham resident, died Monday morning after a long illness. She was born March 22, 1846 and laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery. Survived by eight children, all except one in the area, who were at her bedside. The community expresses sympathy. Gardening Time urges planting to combat food shortage with emphasis on abundant garden truck and black-eyed peas. The note suggests using vacant lots and mobilizing the Commercial Club to maximize local food production.

Mrs. Birdwell died at the home of Mrs. M. M. Maupin in West Graham after a lingering illness. Her body was taken to Red Top and buried in Hawkins Chapel cemetery. Born March 23, 1876 in Arkansas she was a Christian church member and longtime county resident. She leaves a husband and five children.

Mrs Jennie E Valentine died at 3 30 a m Monday February 11 1918 in Palo Pinto County She was the wife of Dr Valentine of Weatherford who died years ago She left four brothers Bob Charles Will and Lee Dalton all of Palo Pinto and a sister Mrs Mary Herron of Graham The funeral was at the Palo Pinto Baptist church and burial followed in Weatherford near other family graves She was born December 20 1541.
