A small wedding took place Sunday January 30 at 12 30 PM at the home of Mr and Mrs F L Dair at the corner of 10th and Brice The bride Della Horner sister of Mrs Adair married Mr P O Young a gasman The couple are well regarded in Memphis and Hall County and their friends extend congratulations for a long happy prosperous marriage officiated by L Humpreys The Hall County Herald notes the bride is a Young county native and praises the groom as a fine citizen The Leader adds best wishes to the couple.

Finch hosts Methodist Sunday School party on Cherry Street

Friday night Mr and Mrs Finch entertained the adult department of the Methodist Sunday School at their residence on South Cherry Street. Superintendent Boyd Street, Star F, BE Singleton and Mr Adh gave speeches and guests enjoyed games. Refreshments of coffee and sandwiches were served and a neat dinner card was presented to each guest as they departed.

Pioneer Citizen J J Daws Dies At Home Near Eliasville

J J Daws, one of Young County's oldest pioneers and a Confederate veteran, died last Saturday at his daughter Mrs W P Stinsons home near Eliasville. He had suffered feeble health for years and was laid to rest in the Eliasville cemetery Saturday evening. He raised a large family now scattered, and his death removes a hospitable Southern figure from the community. The Leader offers condolences to his sorrowing relatives.

Mrs E E Johnson longtime Graham resident died at her daughter Mrs Deweys Duncan Oklahoma home last Saturday Her remains were shipped to Graham and interred here Monday She ran a millinery business on West Main Street in the house now owned by Rev Fisher Condolences flow from old timers and through the Leader The wedding at First Baptist was held at 230 pm for Miss Laura Wilkins and Mr Richard Caldwell Rev T E Cannedy officiated Prof Talliaferro played the wedding march Bride and groom left for Rock Island Illinois after the ceremony The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs J T Wilkins The groom previously worked with Young County Abstract Title Company in Graham and will serve as Illinois agent to attract homeseekers to the area The Leader joins in congratulating the couple
