J H Rubenkoenig of Graham marked his seventieth birthday on December 15 as location was made for the first oil test on his land northeast of Graham. Kellog Drilling Company now drills a 1000 foot hole for A G Carter of Fort Worth, with Mrs Rubenkoenig born in Switzerland and moving to Graham 46 years ago. They have seven children.

News of the death of Ed Cockrell and his son Alfred was received Monday evening. They were killed when their car was struck by a passenger train at the Katy crossing on Biddy Street in South Fort Worth in the morning. The elder Cockrell was brother to town resident Lee Cockrell and well known locally. The family had lived in Stephens County before moving here recently.

Rock Island Safe Blown Third Time

Six hundred bushels of corn and 13 tons of hay fatten 250 lambs from 55 to 80 pounds, making a double-deck carload. 450 bushels of corn and 2,750 pounds of tankage fatten 70 hogs from 100 to 200 pounds for one carload. 1,100 bushels of corn 10 tons of alfalfa hay and 5 tons of straw fatten 20 steers averaging 850 pounds to gain 325 pounds in 180 days.
