The Loving country reports cool rainy weather and a strong crop outlook for next year. R. L. Reeves and wife welcomed a fine boy. Zack Wyatt drilled a 82 foot water well providing ample water. Families from Grandbury Bosque county Denton move in and plan farms near Loving. School dismisses for Institute at Graham. Christmas Tree planned after holidays. Community members install wind mill and wire fences as line work proceeds. Local relief association discussed and funding up to a thousand dollars considered. Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to readers.
Fifty two teachers gathered at the Public School building on Monday for the County Institute called to order by Judge Jo. W. Akin. Prof. B. C. Odom was elected chairman, Miss Clara Parker secretary, with Miss Etna Wilkinson later serving. The program covered arithmetic, composition, grammar, history, reading, and spelling under various instructors. Akin noted the new law boosting attendance enforcement. Additional teachers from other areas joined after Monday.
