Baker Rehders wed in Graham ceremony
Herbert Rehders and Myrtle Baker surprised friends with a Wednesday eve nuptial at the manse. Rev Gary Smith officiated at 6 o clock on November 29. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ed Baker, came to town last year and became popular. The groom, son of Mr and Mrs Wm Redders, has been in Graham and is described as a promising young man. They reside in Graham and receive many congratulatory messages.

New Test Drills West of Graham in Young County
A new drill test by S S Kouri of Wichita Falls is planned between the Timmons and Miami wells, west of Graham. Neff Urges Texas to Boost Education Reform
Governor Pat M. Neff told the State Teachers Association in Houston that education is a vital function of government. He urged a comprehensive survey of schooling, stronger state leadership, at least $500 per child, nine months of schooling, new revenue sources, cheaper free textbooks, accurate censuses, apportionment by attendance, eliminating waste, and teaching practical life skills to students.

Graham Attorney Is Suspended Five Years
Herman T. McBrayer of Graham, a former practicing attorney and Young county county attorney candidate, was suspended for five years after a jury found him guilty on eleven of thirteen counts alleging professional conduct violations. District Judge Wilson imposed the sentence, with bar colleagues speaking in his defense. The civil action was prosecuted by the Young County Bar Association.

Hunters Norris and Ellis Return From Brewster County Trip
J. B. Norris and Cleve Ellis returned Monday night from an extended hunting trip in Brewster county. They killed four deer and other game and enjoyed the journey, but they did not say if they visited Old Mexico during the trip.
