Gordie Raley driver for Bowman Lumber company drowned his team yesterday near noon while watering at Salt creek Graves crossing. Five feet of water and a broken breast-strap caused the horses to tangle and drown before help arrived. The team belonged to Bowman company. many others water there but unhitch at the hill top.
J B Wilson died in Childress on November 25. A longtime Young County resident since 1877, he moved to Cottle County in 1901. He was regarded as an upright and good citizen. He leaves a widow and nine children.
Locals are urged to send delegates to a county union call meeting at the court house in Graham. The gathering is set for 10 o clock on December 14, 1907, with J P Hypen presiding as president.

Dellas Benson, just arrived from Fresno California, reports Graham has markedly improved during his four year absence. He notes the oil mill project restarted last Monday following a short layoff caused by money stringency.

Burris on November 22 with two new members Clint and Marvin Burris joining. Other visitors included Miss Mattie Watson, P. P. Cady, Grandpa Blakney from Bowie, and Mrs. Sallie Baker with Mrs. Mollye Treue visiting J. M. Watson’s family. Chestnut and Price Griffith of Olney attended Sunday school. Wiley Smith headed home near Corsicana. The J. D. Lowe singing Sunday night delighted the young folks. EMERY.
