Austin Aug 11 A triple change in state offices saw Gov Neff move Dr Terrell from State Treasurer to Railroad Commissioner in place of Dr Walter M W Splawn elected president of the University. Sidney L Staples becomes State Treasurer and Finis K Johnson Secretary of State. The changes take effect August 15 and Terrell may seek the Railroad Commissioner nomination, resigning the Treasurer post if selected.

For months the county lodges have held work contests. Graham Lodge will host on Monday night August 18 at 8 o clock, and the Olney team will perform the work. Hound Men Plan Big Camp Hunt in October
Thirty five hound men met in Graham for the regular Hound Men's Association meeting. They unanimously agreed to hold a big camp hunt at Corbett's Ranch on October 12. The association, organized over two years ago, meets in Graham on the second Monday each month to discuss issues of interest to members. More details will follow in The Leader.

Injury to Wichita Falls Boy After Fall at Station
Mrs. Raymond Reed and her children were returning from Amarillo when Roy Reed fell in a station at Wichita Falls. He cut his tongue and lip, was brought home, treated with stitches, and is rapidly improving at a local hospital.

Graham first bale nets 30 cents per pound in 1950
Graham reports the first bale weighed 510 pounds and sold for 30 cents a pound, bringing $153. The Chamber of Commerce paid a $100 premium to seller Mr. Ed Sluder, who also has about $20 in seed left. Multiple local businesses contributed to the premium, totaling $100, and the Anderson Gin Company ginned the bale for the John E. Morrison Company which purchased it.
