Mrs Tom Burch Dies After Heart Trouble in Newcastle
Mrs. Tom Burch died Tuesday morning in the lobby of the Jefferson Hotel Newcastle from heart trouble. She had been driving her car through City Park before it stopped at the hotel. She died within minutes after being removed from the vehicle. Buried yesterday afternoon she is survived by her husband one son two sisters and one brother.

Presbyterian Boys Enjoy Big Dinner
The Presbyterian baseball team members were hosted by the church ladies for a chicken dinner and ice cold watermelon on the Morrison lawn Tuesday at 8. The long table for forty featured flowers and guests including Sunday School officers. After the meal, about twenty watermelons were shared amid singing and solos, followed by a game of three deep. 92nd District Court Convenes This Week
Judge Walter F. Schenck convened the 92nd district court in Graham Monday. Court reporter Foy Schlittler is on the job as two divorces are granted and several minor cases settled. The principal case State vs Ray Holden saw the defendant found insane on a lunacy charge after witnesses stated his mind had grown unbalanced. two doctors testified he would likely not live long even with the best treatment.

Auto Races Set For Texas Oklahoma Fair

Paving North Elm Street has resumed after months delay caused by brick shortages. Excavation started this week across the Rock Island tracks near Oak Grove Cemetery and the street will be paved to the square. Fire destroys barn and threshing crew's horse
Mr W W Storm of Bunger lost his barn by fire last week while the thresher was at his place. It is thought a cigarette may have been thrown near the barn starting the blaze. A horse belonging to one of the boys at the thresher was burned to death along with harness saddles and feed.
