Sudden Death After Buggy Mishap Near Lacassa
Mr Jim Veale of Lacassa Stephens county died last Saturday morning after falling from a buggy while returning from Graham with his granddaughter and a driver. His granddaughter suffered a scalp wound and bruises. Veale, about 70, had heart trouble and had been under doctors care. The body was returned to Lacassa for burial in the Veale family home place, with services Sunday.

Protracted Hen Hamlet Meeting Yields Conversions and Gifts
The Hen Hap el church meeting led by Rev. H H Wime of Graham and Rev. J A Hill of Conawa produced about ninety conversions and eighty additions. A purse of seventy dollars was given to Mr Hill.

Wm. Davis Dead. Beloved Upper Tank Valley Resident
William Davis known as Uncle Billy of Upper Tank Valley died last Sunday and was buried Monday at Oak Grove Cemetery. A large crowd attended the interment, and he was remembered as an excellent citizen whose genial manner and advice were valued by the community.
