A promotional survey highlights a broad stock, low prices, and strong customer satisfaction. It touts new customers daily and many loyal patrons, and lists several departments the store is proud of.
Advertises millinery offering stylish hats for ladies and exclusive customer-specific styles designed by an artist of taste. Claims to sell more hats than any house in the West with right prices.
Store invites all visitors to view athletic underwear selection with prices. Staff welcome noncustomers to browse and compare, offering a look and a few prices to help decision making.
Merchants in Graham agreed to close at 7 pm from April 15 to September 1 except Saturdays and Big Mondays. The rule aims to give clerks rest, with many stores already complying. A list of endorsing dry goods and groceries was prepared, though not published. A separate event in Oak Grove cemetery unveiled a monument to R. A. Dalrymple by the Woodmen orders amid harsh weather and a large crowd.

Last Saturday April 15 in Newcastle Justice J M Warren heard the examining trial. The state dismissed W H George Jim Davis Bob Blansett Ben Barron and N F Adams and moved to trial of John Crutchfield Jim Crenshaw Will Graves. Crutchfield bailed for 2000, others for 500 each, with Crutchfield posting bond for grand jury appearance. the others remain jailed at Graham. The three were among those at the scene of the killing. Attorneys Fitzgerald Simpson Jacksboro. County Attorney Fred T Arnold prosecuted. Also notes on Sunday church attendance and services across local churches with multiple additions and mention of Easter sermons.

The dynamo and steam engine for the new light plant have arrived and will be installed this week. The eight hundred light capacity dynamo and twenty horsepower engine will start limited service until midnight, with potential all night operation by next fall. Located north of the Mabry Short warehouse, the plant will provide daytime fan service in major businesses and gradual street and depot lighting.
J T Harris died at his son in law John Rubenkoe nig Jr home last Saturday night. He was 76 and a Confederate veteran. Funeral services were held at Oak Grove Cemetery on Sunday at 4 o clock conducted by Rev Noble with Rev Singleton assisting. He leaves a wife and several children.
The hymn Spirit of God by Neidlinger was sung by Mrs. Rose to align with the discourse’s main drift, reinforcing the sermon’s themes of faith and hope.
Under the State Department of Agriculture a Farmers Institute will meet in Graham on April 24 at 1 30 p m. J W Neill will lead sessions on Dry Farming moisture conservation seed selection crop diversification Cotton Root Rot Boll Worm Melon Louse and Potato Weevil. Young County Farmers Institute officers are asked to help gather attendees and bring families for a day of intensive agricultural discussion.
Rev. Ed Dearmore and W. M. Higgins announce a series of meetings starting Monday night after the first Sunday in May. All attendees should bring their song books.
