In Preston county jail on $5000 bail, Wade Janowske, 20, of Red House Maryland, faces four felonious assault charges after his car plowed into a Terra Alta parade crowd Saturday night injuring Terra Alta High School band members, a grocer, and about 15 others. Magistrate F W Pritt said Janowske waived preliminary hearing and awaits grand jury action. Witnesses James Savage and Arbel Smith, both from Oakland, were released without bond.

Two motorists appeared in May in Ona C. Jefferys court after an automobile accident on Webster road. Arthur Franklin Mayle of Meriden pleaded guilty to obstructing traffic and was fined five dollars and released. The other motorist was fined after pleading to a related charge.
