Eight-Year-Old John Preston Killed in Webster Bicycle Crash
An eight-year-old, John Thomas Preston of Webster, died after falling from a bicycle into the path of an eastbound 1941 sedan on Route 250. He sustained a fractured skull and died at Grafton City Hospital around 4:30 p.m. A coroner's inquest was set for 1 p.m. today. The driver, Marshall Barnett of Scotts Man, Monongalia County, faced no charges at this time. Preston was one of seven children of Raymond and Ethel Preston. He leaves brothers and sisters and is predeceased by paternal grandparents James A. and Mrs. Preston and maternal grandmother Mrs. J. H. Willis.
