Six Civil War Vets Honored by Grafton Rotary Guests
Six of the 12 remaining Grand Army veterans were honor guests at the Grafton Rotary Club Memorial Day meeting at the Hotel Grafton. Visitors from Spanish American and world wars attended along with Reno Post members. Uriah Jones, 92, was the oldest, with talks of thanks from each veteran as they were introduced.

On Decoration Day crowds view a centuries old patriotic apron in Brinkman’s store window. The garment was worn May 30 1861 by Mrs Charles Brendel of Loveland a Grafton suburb. Only two of the 26 girls from the parade are alive today per locals. General B F Kelley of Civil War fame is mentioned in connection to the event.
