Taylor County Fair Association members approved ordering two 40 by 100 foot tents for livestock displays and four 40 by 80 foot tents for commercial exhibits for the upcoming fall fair Ellen Wiseman publicity chair said. Earl Layman will oversee tent exhibitions this year and Lloyd Sayres the association president directed the secretary to arrange advertising diumdums. Burl Mason chairs the catalog committee and merchants are urged to contact him about catalog advertising space. H K Debendorfer will lead entertainment efforts with Mrs Sayred noting promising acts in view.

Children To Decorate Graves After Mine Tragedy
A slate rock collapse 30 by 10 by six feet deep inside the Golden Ridge Mine in Randolph County killed three miners, Joe Logar of Monterville Alpha Sullivan and Adam Simmons of Valley Head. Ten crew members were uninjured. Logar’s body was found after a three hour effort, and two others followed. The Bethlehem Steel operation is under investigation by Patsy Altieri, District Nine state mine inspector.

Western Railroads Blast Action of AFL Switchmen
In Chicago Western railroads condemned the AFL switchmen’s strike plan for next Tuesday calling it a reckless bid for prestige. Youth Wanted For Murder Held In State Parkersburg
Parkerburg reports Eighteen year old Jack Hartman, charged with murder in Bryan Ohio, will be arraigned on a concealed weapon charge. He was arrested for loitering at 2:30 am. Hartman’s grandparents were slain in Bryan on May 5, triggering a nationwide search. deputies found a German 22 caliber pistol.

Morgantown man slated for release amid still unsolved death
Fred J. Tharpe, 31, of Morgantown, faces release from custody today unless new overnight developments emerge in the slaying of an unidentified woman near Berkeley Springs. 220 Eighth Graders To Get Special Awards
