Eloping Couple Alleged Key in Wisconsin Slayings

Moran Held For Grand Jury On Assault Charge
Donal Moran, 26, of Grafton was ordered held for the Taylor County Circuit Court grand jury on a felonious assault charge. Police say Moran kicked Patrolman Lawrence Messenger in the abdomen during a arrest, causing internal injuries. Messenger was hospitalized. Moran remains in Tallon County Jail under $1,000 bond awaiting the April grand jury term. Moran allegedly attacked the officer while intoxicated.

Train Collision Kills Crewman Near Jesup
A passenger train and a freight train collided head on in heavy fog two miles west of Jesup Georgia. One crewman died and several others were injured, some fatally.
