Husband Faces First Degree Murder Charge in Wife Death
Uniontown prosecutors urged a Fayette county jury to convict William Price of first degree murder in the death of his wife Catherine Price. The shooting occurred October 23 at her parents’ home near Morris Cross Roads after Price allegedly brought her to Morgantown Hospital claiming she had shot herself. Morgantown nurse Helen Hamilton coroner J B Biffle and Dr Robert Johnson testified. Brown sought the death penalty or life imprisonment, arguing Price was with Mrs Price at the time and owned the revolver.
