Funds Shortfall for Aged and Blind Aid Increases
Public assistant director Robert Roth outlined that despite added 49th legislature funds the state grants to aged, blind and dependent children remain far below needed levels. Effective July 1 grants will rise about 30 percent and, with later appropriations, reach roughly 65 percent of actual needs.
