Crews Still Busy At Clearing Rails in B and O Derailment
Wreck crews from Grafton Keyser and Cumberland work to clear a derailment on the Baltimore and Ohio main east and west bound tracks near Blazer Preston County. Ten cars of a 79 car westbound freight derailed at 6 p m yesterday. The engineer and a supervisor were injured, investigations into the cause continue, and rail traffic was halted with trains rerouted. A large Cumberland crane aids in clearing, with full clearance expected by tonight.

Hero off duty rescues woman from eighth floor window
Chicago police officer Francis P. Sherrier 25 aided by two colleagues rescued Mrs. Lillian Paul 39 who dangled from a broken sash cord after the window slammed shut on her coat at the Wacker hotel on the near North Side. Sherrier who was departing on his way home directed his fellow officers to hold his legs and swung across to grab the coat and wrists, then lifted the woman to safety as a hotel employee opened the window to release her.

L A Neason Dies After Long Illness At 78
Louis Joseph Neason 78, longtime Grafton resident and retired Baltimore and Ohio railroad pipefitter, died at 5:16 p.m. at his home after a year and a half illness. A native of Altoona, he was a son of Cornelius and Alice Neason. He belonged to Holy Name society and St. Augustine church. Surviving are his wife Gertrude Tighe Neason and a large family including Leo A Neason, Lewis Doyle Neason, Pauline Rogers, Raymond Neason, Robert C Neason, R William Neason, Alice Wrick, and Elizabeth Neason.
