Duke and Duchess of Windsor Plan Return to London

London Evening Standard reports the Duke of Windsor and Wallis Simpson plan to return to England in October to take up residence. The couple may also visit the United States next year. Lord Beaverbrook and the Standard have long supported their return, and Edward VIII last visited England after abdication in 1936.

Two Bicyclists Die In Collision Near Washington Pa

Washington Pa June 27 193? two youths from Weirton Heights West Virginia were killed when their bicycle crashed into a car. William McClelland aged 12 and Robert Speese 16 were riding together the bicycle struck the automobile and McClelland rolled the handlebars. State Motor Policeman M T Sheridan of Imperial investigated the crash.

The United Republican club of Taylor county announces Independence Day plans at Graf ton park at the Tygar dam foot. NEW MARTINSVILLE June 27. Robert Chance nine was killed by a bullet prosecutors say fired by his brother in law Harley Morris twenty one while hunting groundhogs. Morris said he fired at movement he thought was a ground hog.

Japan warns blockade and mines new Chinese ports

The Japanese Navy announced offensives against Wenchow and Foochow, warned foreign ships to leave, and said the ports would be closed to foreign shipping. A Thursday noon withdrawal deadline was set. Japan would not guarantee safety for remaining third power vessels. Britain warned Japan would be responsible for interference with British shipping.
