Taylor County Post to Hold Military Funeral for Hall Andrews

Taylor County Post No. 12 American Legion will conduct the military funeral for Hall Andrews of Newburg. Services are Sunday at 2 30 p m from Independence Baptist Church. The body lies in state at a Newburg funeral home. Burial will be in Gladesville cemetery. All Legionnaires are asked to meet at the Legion home at 1 pm to march in a group to the service.

Sweltering conditions prevailed in Grafton with the temperature reaching 88 degrees this morning and falling to 86 by noon amid cloud cover. Yesterday’s peak hit 89 degrees but a light breeze offered relief today as heat kept residents indoors. Overnight the low was 63 with 0.17 inches of rain yesterday. Tonight looks hot and humid with scattered thundershowers forecast. relief is expected tomorrow with scattered showers and milder temperatures.
