Temperatures for the 24 hours ending 5 p.m. Sunday show a high of 79 and a low of 56 with last night at 49. At 11 a.m. today readings stood at 74. Tygart Dam recorded a high of 84 and a low of 60 with 7 a.m. today at 62 and 11 a.m. today at 72.
Leadership County women attended the seventh annual West Virginia PTA Training School at Camp Caesar June 7 9. Participants included Mrs Leonard Phelps Mrs Bernard Blake Mrs Joe Ball Mrs Joe Piccolo and others from Flemington Parkview Haymond Morgantown and Swanton Morley England. The program focused on parent and teacher education and included reports from each study group with Mrs Walls reporting on legislation. A school for newly elected officers is planned for August.
The London paper marks Prince Philip turning 36 with news that he and Queen Elizabeth II will travel to the United States from October 16 to 21. The visit is described as definite.

A 46 year old man with a 16 year prison background for a murder by his uncle was ordained a Presbyterian minister at Olivett Church on Staten Island. John Cacapardo of Hackensack New Jersey led the ordination with about 450 attendees including Judge Louis Goldstein who reversed his conviction in 1952. He received a full pardon from Governor Harriman and will serve temporarily at Wine East fide Presbyterian Church in Newark before a congregational vote on regular pastor status. The case stemmed from the murder of Molly Storace, a 29 year old Brooklyn divorcee, with witnesses including his uncle Paul Petrillo, who later killed Storace and led a murder-for-hire ring.
President Eisenhower remains in bed with what doctors describe as a stomach upset not linked to his heart or recent operation. Hagerty said no serious condition is found, with tests including an electrocardiograph and the possibility of further visits by specialists. The president had traveled to Florida, spoke at ceremonies, and later canceled engagements as officials monitor his condition.
